is it possible to modify SimpleColo​rDetectio​​nByHue() function to remove petiole from leaf?

SimpleColorDetectionByHue() dear image analyst i applied successfully this function for cotton leaf segmentation. but simultaneously i want to remove petiole automatically.i tried lot but failed . so please help me and provide code to remove petiole and get segmented image of leaf.
