Why do I receive error when I run a simulation on Simulink with a PIL block for Arduino Mega and gives that there is no connection with the Arduino board?

I tried to run the example "Arduino_PIL_Block"(attached). I created the PIL block and located in the model as shown:

When I started the simulation in "Normal" mode I get the following error:

• Noting that I have no problem when I remove the PIL block and run the model in external mode or deploy the controller to the board after cancelling PIL creation.
• My MATLAB is 2017b 64bit and my OS is Windows 7 64bit.

I have the same problem. Do you know if this example works with Arduino Uno Board?
