Hello,
I am a little confused about the Spartan 6 Development Kit Support from Simulink. It says that the required hardware needed is the Spartan 6 DSP Development Kit for Avnet.
Here are the links. http://www.mathworks.com/fpga-design/fpga-xilinx-spartan-dspkit/ http://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/AES-S6DEV-LX150T-G.htm
I thought that the Spartan 6 Development Kit Support from Simulink included the one from Avnet. Both kits include the same FPGA?
Assuming I already have the licensing I needed for MATLAB and Simulink, would it really cost the price of both development kits to program an FPGA?
Thank you, Natalie

From what I understand "Spartan 6 Development Kit Support from Simulink" is just a page that talks about a board that is supported from Simulink - it is not a product by itself. The product that it advertises is the board from Avnet. I'm assuming you bought the board from Avnet? If yes, I believe it should have shipped with the "Xilinx System Generator for DSP" which is a blockset that you can use with Simulink.
