Diffrence between cubic spline (csaps) and smoothing spline in curve fitting toolbox

Hi

I am trying to figure out what is the difference between (if any) the cubic spline (csaps command) and the smoothing spline offered by Curve Fitting Tool in matlab. I looked at some of the places where the info is provided on the two but i couldn't find any place where a differentiation is made. Is there any difference between the 2?

If you read the docs somewhere below fittype, you will find this comment:

Note
The smoothing spline algorithm is based on the csaps function.

I won't say it was trivial to find. :)

So the two results should be the same.
