how to model displacement of a crane upon impulse?

Looking to plot the displacement of a crane, firstly as a SDOF then as a MDOF. The excitation forces will be the load which is max 10t and later on the model will also be inclusive of forces due to waves and wind (offshore scenario).
Any advice on coding or Simulink models would be great, currently have all the spec of the crane such as mass, length and stiffness.
