Hi everyone,
I am struggling for some time now on an issue that appears simple.
I do not manage to wait the ouput of a gui called as a function. I am looking to reproduce something that looks like uigetfile (bloomberg download in my case), but I was not able to understand how they do it.
Windows tyle is modal.
Code pseudo example:
function master_gui
S.Fig=figure('callback',@function_xxx);
function function_xxx(~,~,S)
[output]= gui_that_load_bloomberg_data()
% wait something??
This_should_not_be_one_before_having_a_nice_output=1;
end
end
================== on another M file
function [output]= gui_that_load_bloomberg_data()
But.PushLoadEx = uicontrol('style','pushbutton','callback',@LoadExisting);
function LoadExisting(~,~,~)
[output] = Stuff_Loaded; %that line then should start again the master gui
end
end
Thank you in advance

Are you looking for uiwait, or waitfor?
doc waitfor

Well, uiwait did the trick perfectly, I was convinced that it did not work before.
An answer such as: "try harder" would have been accepted too...
Thank you.
