Close Matlab panels in tiling window manager

2 views (last 30 days)
I am using MATLAB in a tiling window manager (i3) under Debian. During work MATLAB opens lots of new panels (e.g. help, network designer etc.). How can I close such panels? I there a shortcut? Ctrl-W or sometihings else doesn't work. As i am running windows without panel decorations I don't have the "x" in the upper right corner to close a panel.

You may go to Preferences >> Keyboard >> Shortcuts and check if Active settings are properly set to "Windows Default Set" instead of "Emacs...".
