Track a Point on a Changing Boundary

Hey everyone,

I have an issue where I am tracking the border of an object and want to extract features from points on the border. The issue is that there isn't really a 1-1 mapping across frames for border points as the border continuously changes in size and shape, so it's hard to say what point on the border in one frame corresponds to the same point on the next frame.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or can point me to the right toolbox/function for this problem!
