Why do I get the error "Undefined function or variable" 'getmapping' ?

I am receiving the following error message, how can I resolve this issue?

Unrecognized function or variable 'getmapping'.

patternMappingriu2 = getmapping(P,'u2');

Probably because getmapping() is a function that you don't have.
