how to call HyperMesh commands from the MatLab environment

Hello *,
My question is the following: Is there a way to have an interface between MatLab and Hypermwesh, where MatLab is the 'server' and HyperMesh has a 'client' role? If so, could anyone give me an example code -- snippet? Or at least a link to a certain doc file?
Do not know if it's important, but my software versions are the follwoing: * MatLab R2009b / MatLab R2012B * HyperMesh v10.0 * Windows Server 2008 R2
Any help is appreciated.
