Finding max but when a condition becomes true it should find max two steps ahead

There is a signal with values suppose

A=[5,4,3,2,6,7,8,9]

The max of A goes back again and check the max with next one

So in the first step the max becomes 5 and when it again checks so with max (5,4) so it will return 5 again but when A becomes greater than max it should check max with the value of A two time steps ahead ie when A becomes 6 so max should remain 5 and it should two step ahead ie max(5,8) and it should return 8 but not before that

Could someone please help me in this in simulink.

Is there any way to do it?
