Pneumatic Check Valve - how do I model one from basic elements?

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi everyone,
I'm new to Simulink and am trying to model a pneumatic check (one-way) valve from the pneumatic elements in the Simscape Foundation library. I see a check valve already exists in the hydraulic toolbox, which is a bit frustrating.
Please help!

I agree Mathworks drop the ball for the simscape All the hydraulic valve should be also available for pneumatic system also. Who build pneumatic system without valves?

You have 2 options:
- Build it using basic components. This will very likely involve some mechanical components like spring-mass-damper that will drive a variable area orifice based on a measured pressure.
- Implement it using the Simscape language. The source code of all pneumatic components is available to inspire you.
