StructuralBoundaryLoad command for Deflection calculation

Hello
  1. I am trying to apply the structuralboundaryload function to an Stl model of a rod with set parameters in order to calucate the deflection for a variety of increasing loads.
  2. I would ideally like to apply these loads over a fixed length on the beam, and move this fixed leangth up and down the length of the beam to investigate the effect this has on deflection.
  3. I can see that one can apply a point load to a vertex, i.e for a tip deflection.
  4. Furthermore I can see that one could arrange the beam as a set of cylinderical blocks stacked on top of each other in order to use the individual blocks as a the vertex boundaries for applying the load - however can i instruct matlab to conduct the deflection calculation for the entire length of the beam (rather than just one block?).
  5. I would then like to plot these deflection results and von mises stresses as XY Plots
  6. Finally, I would like to be able to input the yield strength of the material so that i can assess whether there is non linear deformation of the cantilver with the upper ends of the loading i am utilising (i.e geometric deformation> material deformation).
  7. This page demonstrates the command I have been trying to use:https://uk.mathworks.com/help/pde/ug/pde.structuralmodel.structuralboundaryload.html#mw_26659323-a4ce-42d4-8c0b-dc07ec3455af
