How to debug C Mex files in Matlab without in built compiler

I have Cygwin compiler in my system.how debug C mex files in matlab with this compiler. please can anyone help me.plz

Actually i dont have linux in my desktop.I have only cgywin compiler.I built s-function using existing C code.I have to compile those mex files.

I know. First of all: why do you use cygwin instead of lcc? Second, when you use cygwin (i.e., the gnu compiler), debugging using gdb from cygwin should work similarly to using gdb on a linux machine, that's what I tried to point out ...
