arranging images by scan coordinates

I am generating images with a scanning microscope. In each folder for every 100x100 xy scan there are 10000 images of 3x3 pixels each. In the title are very precise xy coordinates of a nanometer translation stage taken at each point (e.g. '17.23348,22.44052'). I want to create a final image of the whole scan, which I guess means placing each 3x3 image into a 300x300 image with the central pixel at approximately the corresponding position of the stage. My question: Is there a command in the image processing toolbox or somewhere else to interpolate the position at which the images should be tiled if given the coordinates from the filename?
