How to add mean direction and circular standard deviation to a rose plot

I have created a rose plot and calculated both the mean direction and circular standard deviation of the values.
I have added the mean direction to the rose plot using the compass function, but is there a way to create a sector which ranges from (mean- standard deviation) to (mean + standard deviation) and then overlay this on to the rose plot, to give an idea of the spread of the data?
