Integrated energy systems are a key research focus in the energy sector, aiming to construct multi-energy complementary and coordinated energy systems. They serve as a crucial step in energy system reform and a foundation for achieving carbon neutrality.
This course first establishes the fundamental relationship between energy systems and the environment, analyzing their impact on the Earth’s carbon cycle. It then introduces major energy sources such as coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, and solar energy, explaining their operational characteristics. Finally, it provides fundamental modeling approaches for power, gas, and heat networks, laying the foundation for exploring optimization strategies for integrated energy system operation.
The course utilizes MATLAB scripts for practical demonstrations, enabling direct visualization of key concepts and data interactions. The interactive control features in the scripts provide mathematical model simulations, making the optimization models for integrated energy systems more intuitive and easier to understand.
