Reference speed for DC motor
Version 1.0.0 (29.6 KB) by
Abdelrahman Farghly
The reference speed (or desired speed) in a DC motor control system is the target rotational speed (in RPM or rad/s)
hy Reference Speed Matters
- It is the input to a closed-loop speed control system.
- Compared against the actual motor speed (measured via an encoder or speed sensor).
- The error signal (difference between reference and actual speed) is processed by a controller (usually a PI or PID controller) to drive the motor accordingly.
