This app allows users to analyze the stability of linear systems by computing the characteristic equation of a given matrix. It supports two input modes:
- Symbolic Mode: Enter matrices using symbolic variables (via MATLAB Symbolic Math Toolbox).
- Numeric Mode: Enter standard numeric matrices.
Unlike traditional apps, this one directly generates the characteristic polynomial, allowing users to extract eigenvalues and gain insight into system stability.
For higher-degree polynomials or complex root scenarios, this app can be used alongside the previously built app:
Routh-Hurwitz Stability Analyzer
Input the algebraic polynomial from this app into the Routh-Hurwitz app to check system stability efficiently.
Features:
- Dual-mode input: symbolic and numeric
- Automatic generation of the characteristic equation
- Ideal for control system students and researchers
- Works seamlessly with the Routh-Hurwitz app for complete analysis
