Two MATLAB files providing the functions "gamBandwidth" and "gamBandwidthOct." The first function computes the full-width at half maximum, FWHM (or arbitrary y-proportion of the maximum, FWyM) of gamma distributions with shape parameter a>1. The second function computes the octave bandwidth of gamma distributions. These functions are based off work in the paper "Bandwidth of Gamma-Distribution-Shaped Functions via Lambert W Function," written by Anthony LoPrete and Johannes Burge, submitted for publication in 2025. Both functions require the symbolic math toolbox for its implementation of the Lambert W function.
