Mandelbrot fractal with (almost) infinite zoom
Because of today's news, I read a bit on Wikipedia on Mandelbrot fractals. Of course I couldn't resist implementing the code I saw in Matlab. I kept zooming and updating the figure, until I figured it was better to have it automatically update after zooming. It works really if you have the right colormap. For the figure above, I used 'Radial Rainbow Hoop' from http://soliton.vm.bytemark.co.uk/pub/cpt-city/ggr/index.html, in combination with http://soliton.vm.bytemark.co.uk/pub/cpt-city/notes/colormap_cpt.m
