MATLAB(R) is a software environment and programming language with over 1,000,000 users. MATLAB extends the functionality of Agilent signal analyzers by enabling you to analyze and visualize live or acquired signals, make application-specific measurements, create and apply your own filters and equalization methods, and automate tests.
This example shows how you can use MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox(TM) software to grab a screenshot on the instrument display. Note that this example does not change the settings of the X-Series Signal Analyzer. For more information on the SCPI commands used to control the instrument, refer to your instrument's programmer's guide.
To execute this example, type ‘TransferScreenShot’ in the MATLAB command window. NOTE: Remember to change the VISA resource string in the TransferScreenShot.m file to the VISA address of your instrument.
This MATLAB example should work on most Agilent X-Series Signal Analyzers. It has been tested on an Agilent CXA and PXA signal analyzer. If any commands produce an error with your instrument model or firmware revision, please refer to your instrument's programmer's manual for the complete list of SCPI commands and make the appropriate changes.
