Orthogonalized Partial Directed Coherence: measuring time-varying interactions within EEG channels
This package implements the proposed EEG connectivity method represented in:
A. Omidvarnia, G. Azemi, B. Boashash, J. O. Toole, P. Colditz, and S. Vanhatalo,
“Measuring time-varying information flow in scalp EEG signals: orthogonalized partial
directed coherence,” IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2013 [Epub ahead of print]
(available at: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/articleDetails.jsp?arnumber=6637060).
The package uses the following external toolbox:
1. ARFIT Toolbox, available at: http://www.clidyn.ethz.ch/arfit/index.html
The BioSig Toolbox (available at: http://biosig.sourceforge.net) has also been very inspirational and helpful to this work.

- In order to perform the EEG analysis part, please run EEG_Analysis_TimeVarying.m
- In order to perform the time-varying simulation part, please run Simulation_TimeVarying.m
- In order to perform the time-invariant simulation part, please run Simulation_TimeInvariant.m
The dataset was obtained from EEG archives in the Department of Children’s Clinical Neurophysiology (Helsinki University Central Hospital, Finland).
