Data Acquisition and Logging with Matlab
Signal Notes is a user-friendly application for data acquisition, monitoring and logging using National Instrument's DAQ-systems. It has two versions – Signal Notes Instant Edition and Signal Notes Scheduled Edition.
Signal Notes is designed to work with bus-powered USB multifunction DAQ devices: USB-600x, USB-621x and USB-65xx series of National Instruments (tested only with USB-6211!). Signal Notes operates only with the analog inputs of the device, configured in differential mode. It is not designed to work with analog outputs or digital ports.
Signal Notes Instant Edition allows configuration (of the sampling frequency and the voltage range) and monitoring of up to 8 differential data channels with option for data logging (as time stamps and voltage levels) to a MAT-file.
Signal Notes Schedule Edition allows configuration (of the sampling frequency and the voltage range) and monitoring of up to 8 differential data channels with option for setting of the initial start time of the acquisition, time duration of one measurement cycle, time duration of the pause and the overall number of measurement cycles. The logged data are saved (as time stamps and voltage levels) to a MAT-file.
The code is based on the theory described in:
