From Telemetry Data to Suspension Modeling
From the series: Student Teams Share Their Keys to Success
Elias Schmideck, elefantracing Formula Student Team, University Bayreuth
Elias Schmidek of ElefantRacing, the Formula Student Team of the University Bayreuth, introduces you to working with suspension telemetry data to improve car performance. Starting with the data obtained via strain gauges at the suspension arms, the team has developed a methodology of data acquisition and processing. Feeding this information into a SimMechanics model allows them to predict the chassis behavior.
