Why is the output movie of the Videowriter class missing information such as Colorbar and Axes Labels?

            I am using the 'imagesc' method to insert images into my figure. I have a colorbar and some other information in my figure when I capture the frame. I write these frames to a video by using the 'writeVideo' method. The figures that are displayed look fine. However, when I play the movie, it is missing a lot of the information such as the COLORBAR, axes labels. Why is this happening?
I use the following commands to get the frame and write it to the video:
frame = getframe;
writeVideo(writerObj,frame);

        This occurs because when the captured frame using the 'getframe' method will capture only the axes information. In order to capture the entire figure, please use the 'getframe' method as shown below: 
>> frame = getframe(gcf);
