2. Load the DICOM image file ‘CR-MONO1-10-chest.dcm’ from the previous tutorial, and carry out the standard preparation steps (convert to class double, scale to the full 10-bit dynamic range).
a. Use fspecial to create an unsharp spatial filter kernel, and apply the kernel on the image to sharpen it. Use circular convolution to handle the boundaries.
b. Use freqz2 to transform the unsharp kernel to the frequency domain. Perform a 2D DFT on the original image, and apply the Fourier transformed unsharp kernel to the Fourier transformed image. Transform the result back to the spatial domain, and verify that the sharpened image is identical to the result in (a).
