Matlab Proxy Settings Problem

Good afternoon,
While trying to install a Matlab package for the USRP software defined radio, I get a proxy error message in Matlab R2013a.
"Error getting support package information from mathworks.com. Your network connection may be down or your proxy settings improperly configured."
I've set the correct proxy settings under Environment->Preferences->Web to the correct settings. When I click on Test, I get a 'Failed!' message.
I have no problem accessing the Internet using web browsers, etc. outside of Matlab.
I can even set the http.proxyHost and http.ProxyPort Java properties within Matlab and use the urlread function to fetch a URL.
Any ideas?
I'm running Fedora 19 (3.11.10-200.fc19.x86_64) and Matlab 2013Ra.
Thanks,
Hugo

Hello,
I have the same issue! I'm using Matlab R2013b. My proxy setting is correct, but I get the 'Failed' message as well.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks
