Controlling a flatbed scanner

Hello dear MATLAB experts I wanted to control a flatbed scanner using MATLAB, FACTS I KNOW: -MATLAB does not support TWAIN drivers hence there could be no way

HOPES: -Im wrong about this and/or there is a built-in toolbox or a third party command-based (terminal) program that can be called in MATLAB to communicate with the scanner device.
