Hi all, I solved a optimization problem using GA toolbox, but I am not getting desired answer using GA. I tried lots of setting and I got littlebit better results. But there is very small change in the fittness function value after few generation. Can anybody help me in this regard? How to improve the results? Thank you

GA is Genetic Algorithms, which is part of the Global Optimization Toolbox, http://www.mathworks.com/help/toolbox/gads/ga.html

Hello Ravindra,
For optimizing the result further in Genetic Algorithms, you can follow these steps:
- Try increasing the population size which will increase the diversity leading to escaping the local optima.
options = optimoptions('ga', 'PopulationSize', 100); % Example size
- Experiment with different mutation and crossover rates. There are multiple types of crossover functions available for GA toolbox which you can explore here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/gads/genetic-algorithm-options.html#f7820
- Try using functions like "fmincon()" for more diversity: https://www.mathworks.com/help/optim/ug/fmincon.html
I hope this helps!
