Hi, I downloaded LIBSVM from https://github.com/tomz/libsvm-ruby-swig . Then copied , libsvmread.mexw32, libsvmwrite.mexw32,libsvmpredict.mexw32,libsvmtrain.mexw32 from C:\libsvm-ruby-swig-master\libsvm-3.1\windows to C:\libsvm-ruby-swig-master\libsvm-3.1\matlab and C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2012b\bin (I don't know whether this is correct method or not).
Next , I typed
matlab >> make
and I got following error.
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libsvmread.mexw32'
C:\PROGRA~1\MATLAB\R2012B\BIN\MEX.PL: Error: Link of 'libsvmread.mexw32' failed.
Next I typed ,
matlab >> mex -setup Please choose your compiler for building MEX-files:
Would you like mex to locate installed compilers [y]/n? y
Select a compiler: [1] Lcc-win32 C 2.4.1 in C:\PROGRA~1\MATLAB\R2012b\sys\lcc [2] Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0
[0] None
Compiler: 2
Please verify your choices:
Compiler: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0
Are these correct [y]/n? y >> make LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libsvmread.mexw32'
C:\PROGRA~1\MATLAB\R2012B\BIN\MEX.PL: Error: Link of 'libsvmread.mexw32' failed.
Again I get the same error. What is wrong with this? Please somebody provide a step by step answer. Thank you.
