I have downloaded the Communications Toolbox Support Package for Xilinx Zynq-Based Radio toolbox and I am looking for a starting point to implement a MIMO system (in HDL preferably). However, I couldn’t find a simple MIMO example that would validate if the FMCOMMS card would require the use of more than one antenna (both transmitter and receiver) apart from this example. The issue is that also for the previous example, for some reason, even when I configure the example to run in a multiple antenna configuration, it still runs successfully even if I am hooking up only one antenna (i.e. SISO). Is there an example I could find that uses multiple antennas on both sides to create a 2x2 MIMO system? Not necessarily an LTE system even.

Hi Fayez,
I'm afraid the example that you have found is the only example that uses more than one antenna. It would be expected that the LTE example you tried will work with just one antenna as the signal strength will be good.
For HDL code generation workflows, there is no difference to the one channel use cases in terms of workflow, so you can build your own system based on the existing examples.
There are a few MIMO examples in the Communications Toolbox Support Package for USRP Radio that you could look at.
Thanks,
Neil
