R2021b on linux can not get lic, with License Manager Error -25

9 views (last 30 days)
I have installed R2021b both on linux and windows.
The windows R2021b can get the lic successfully.
However, while start R2021b on linux, error happens:
License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -25
This version is newer than the version of the license.dat file and/or network license manager on the
server machine.
Make sure the license manager has been updated to the latest release.
It seems that my local R2021b is new than lic server's version: R2020a.
But windows version check out lic successfully.
And I donot think it make sense that client matlab's updating requires the update of lic server.
Anybody has some idea?

Hi Dayu Lai,
I understand you are facing licensing issues for MATLAB R2021b in your Linux machine.
This error occurs when you try to start a version of MATLAB that is newer than the version of the license.dat file on the license server. To resolve this issue, update the license.dat file on the server to the latest release that you are licensed for. For instructions, please see the following link.
I hope the above resource helps in resolving the issue.
