Do you really mean MATLAB 7.0 (release R14) which came out in June 2004?
What new device did you buy that requires a 17+ year old release of MATLAB?
If you're trying to run this on Windows the System Requirements state that this is supported on a machine running Windows XP, Windows 2000 (Service Pack 3 or 4), or Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5 or 6a.) That machine should have a Pentium 3, Pentium 4, Xeon, Pentium M, AMD Athlon, Athlon XP, or Athlon MP processor. I would be interested to know where you bought a new machine with that hardware and software combination.
