Can someone please help me with connecting Lego NXT to Simulink?

I'm having problem connecting Lego with my mac. I'm using windows 7 32-bit image on virtual machine. it gives error to update the firmware but it don't update the firmware at all. I have also tried on xp windows pc and still the same results. It would be great if someone could help me with that please. Thanks
