Unreadable menu text and fonts in Linux xrdp system environment
Show older comments
I have a question about the matlab2017 version being used on Centos7 Linux.
I checked that it works normally in a Linux environment, but when connected to a remote network (xrdp), an unreadable menu is displayed as shown in the attached picture below. You can see that the firefox screen on the right, captured together, looks normal.
I am asking for a solution.

I understand that you are having trouble with MATLAB’s display when connected over xrdp.
MathWorks’s does not support CentOS officially. However, there are a few workarounds which may perhaps help mitigate the issue.
- Change the color depth in the remote desktop connection display setting to 16 bits: https://access.redhat.com/discussions/5610061
- · Alternatively, try changing the max_bpp parameter in /etc/xrdp/xrdp.ini file to 24: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/518116/centos-7-xrdp-android-studio-blank-screen
I hope this helps!
