How to add clockwise and anti-clockwise direction arrow in Plotting in Matlab

Could anyone help me, please,I want to add arrow around the annular shape
out-circle with clockwise direction arrow
plot(X(1:N+1),Y(1:N+1));
and the inner-circle with anti-clockwise direction arrow
plot(X(N+2:2*N+2),Y(N+2:2*N+2));

annotation arrow style is pretty limited in functionality -- you can put one at any specific x,y position, but the orientation is only set by the line coordinates of start-end in each x and y direction. So, you can try making the last segment of the line drawn an arrow in that direction and see what happens....we don't have your X,Y data to work with to see what would happen...

They will be useful arrow-drawing functions for all your needs. Depending on "day in the lunar cycle or whatever" I use one or the other interchangeably and with equal quality.
