Unable to install matlab on linux

While installing the Matlab in linux system I am not able to enter the Matlab password during the installation process.

Looks like that happens on Ubuntu with the latest installer, if you click anything on the first 2 pages. So you can do 1 of 2 things:
  1. Only use your keyboard on the login steps
  2. Use MATLAB Package Manager to install. You'll need to manually activate, but it works entirely through the command line.

It is gives an error command mpm not found.

use sudo ./mpm after cd'ing into the directory where you downloaded mpm.
