Matlab R2022b Segmentation Fault on CentOS 7

Linux Sysadmin here, not experienced in working with Matlab.
Environment: CentOS 7 host with newly installed and activated Matlab R2022b.
I have a customer who gets a segmentation fault every time he launches Matlab. Matlab worked for him once, but all subsequent attempts have resulted in a seg fault.
However, I am able to launch Matlab on the same host just fine, granted I am not doing any real work within Matlab. I've asked the user to clean everything custom out of their .bashrc to rule out his environment, still waiting on those results. Crash dump attached, thanks in advance for any advice!

The crash dump looks similar to a known issue with sporadic crashes when starting Simulink on CentOS 7. For more information on this crash and a workaround, you can visit the below bug report:
