How to connect this DC current source, it is not getting connected?

10 views (last 30 days)
Please fins the attched picture of my circuit,
I actually want to demonstrate superposition theorem using Simulink,
But here, I am not able to connect my dc current source, it is showing red dotted line.
I even tried adding ground block, but also I am not able to complete the circuit.
Could you all please help me as to how I could connect this dc current source.
Thank you :)

Hi Siri,
I believe that you want to make use DC current source in your simulink model. However the block you are using belongs to the Simscape library and not to Simulink library.
In order to solve your query there are two options either model your whole circuit with Simscape blocks or you can use a Controlled Current Source block into your model Change the Source type parameter to DC and connect the input port with a Constant block that contains the value of the DC current as shown in the picture.
I hope this solves your query.

Thank you so much!! I tried your first option, and its coming, but there's one issue now,
I a getting the current flowing through the 10 ohm resistor as 0.5A,
But when I try solving this manually (pen-paper) by using superposition theorem, I am getting different answers(0.146A once and 0.7 another time), is there any fault in simulink or are my calculations(pen-paper) wrong?
(Please find the attched picture of my circuit with this reply) Thank you! :)
