Rel 2022b No longer can undock Find/Replace tool

I recently upgraded to 2022b running on linux from a release a few years earlier running on windows. The Matlab editor has changed significantly and I am having difficulty with the find/replace feature. In 2022b the find window is in a fixed location near the upper right of the document. This obscures important information in the first 4 lines of the file being edited (when the replace option is opened). There is no way to scroll the file to be able to view this portion of the file being edited. Is there any way to move or undock the location of this window? I find notsuch ability in the preferences or in matlab central or internet searches. Thank you.

The editor visible area seems only a tiny portion of its functional area. As a consequence, the find/replace tool, docked at the top-right corner, is so far to the right of my text that it cannot be seen along with the text. The vertical extent is also implicitly much more extended than the editor viewing aréa. For instance in debugging, using F10 to advance to the next line does not scrool the text to let the new current line in the visible area.
Is there a way to inform the editor of the limits of its vieing area? Having to manually scroll the visible area left-right to access the find/replace box or down to see the next line to execute is very counterproductive. Enough so to motivate search in MATLAB Central, although M. Miller's question is the best match I could find so far and does not exactly ask how to fix the need to manually scroll within the visible area of the editor.
