Splitting Simscape model into multiple files

5 views (last 30 days)
Is that possible to split Simscape model into separate files. I have big phisical system and I'd like to split the work into smaller models and then have a biger model where I reference subcomponents. Is there a way to do that?

A Simscape network cannot be directly divided into separate parts for simulation on different processors. Therefore, you need to split your Simscape network into separate smaller networks interfaced to each other through Simulink connections. The Simscape “Network Couplers” library provides the starting point for you to do this.
The workflow for splitting using couplers is given here.

I'm not looking for solution to simulate Simscape on different processors, but I just want to split it into multiple files to allow multiple people work on smaller chunks of work. Can I split Simscape model into Subsystem Reference blocks and conect them in one top-level model?
