I want to convert the signal which is the power generated by a turbine to an image so I can use the image as an input to CNN to do forecasting/prediction

In what format does this signal come in?
A grayscale image is just an array in which each element of the array contains an intensity value for a pixel. I imagine you can reshape your data into an array form and normalize to your expected range of values.

Thank you for your reply.
It is a time series signal stored in an excel sheet, would you be able to provide the functions in MATLAB to convert the signal to an image image?

you can use this function
XTrain= reshape(XTR, [size(XTR,1),1,1,size(XTR,2)]);
XTest= reshape(XTST, [size(XTST,1),1,1,size(XTST,2)]);
YTrain= reshape(YTR, [size(YTR,1),1,1,size(YTR,2)]);
YTest= reshape(YTST, [size(YTST,1),1,1,size(YTST,2)]);
