Wlan TGay channel - why do different results occur in different Matlab versions?

3 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I am trying to work with the wlan 802.11 ad standard and followed an example provided by matlab:
I think this example is originally designed for Matlab 2023 and the results on the website are generated with Matlab 2023.
However, I noticed that this example is also availlable in previous Matlab versions (2020-2022) (via the comand: openExample('wlan/DMGSCPHYPacketErrorRateExample')), however, the resulting PERs that are generated differ significantly to the ones displayed in the example and the ones generated with Matlab 2023.
1: PER in Matlab 2020a (out of the box example)
2: PER in Matlab 2023a (out of the box example)
I think I narrowed down the problem/origin of the differences to the applied channel model, the wlanTGay channel. For the same settings, this channel seems to produce different output signals for the same input signal in different Matlab versions and thus also the differnet resulting PERs in the differnet matlab versions. Has anyone else noticed this problem, a explanation for this problem, or even a solution to get similar results in the different matlab versions?
Any help is appreciated!
Best regards.

Hello,
As there is a difference in output for different releases, it will be better to raise a help ticket at MathWorks Support page: Contact Us - MATLAB & Simulink (mathworks.com) to get to the bottom of this issue.
