MATLAB Online deleted the contents of my file and has no back up

20 views (last 30 days)
Using MATLAB online, which can often stutter or get laggy but could usually be fixed with a refresh. I had a script I was running which outputs a number to the terminal when complete. After clicking run I got no output when the script finished. Aftter running twice more the window reloaded and the entire script is missing, and the file in MATLAB Drive shows a size of 0 KB.
what just happened? Is there anyway to recover this file that MATLAB seemingly deleted of its own accord?

The only option I can think of is to check the contents of your deleted files folder in MATLAB Drive:

Unfortunately the file wasn't deleted, but all the contents of the file was. I'm concerned about using MATLAB Online and losing any other work I have there as well now.

Were you using a *.m file or a *.mlx file? If a *.m file, you might be able to find an autosaved backup in the deleted files folder. Look for a *.asv file with the same filename.
