unable to install MATLAB R2023a on windows 11

i have tried several to install the MATLAB_Runtime_R2023a_Update_3_win64 on my pc with windows 11 for my university project but no avail. After installation, no shortcut is created on the desktop. is there any help?

The executable can be found in the the_folder_you_chose/bin/win64. Are you sure the installation completed successfully?

in the bin folder, matlab.exe is not part but matlab jenv, matlab window, etc

Near the top left, choose R2023a in the Select Release area.

Note:

• there are NO free MATLAB releases
• you will not be able to select R2023a unless you have an existing MATLAB license that is valid for R2023a or later.
• R2023a is supported on Windows 11

MATLAB_Runtime_R2023a_Update_3_win64 is not MATLAB, it's a runtime used by program built with MATLAB compiler.

It's normal that there is no icon, shortcut, it's not supposed to be run directly.

Actually, in this case I suspect it is the name of the installer (in which case your answer still stands).
