Create and run mex fail from fortran file in matlab

There is an example.FOR file, the full path of which is C:\example.FOR and in which the Fortran subroutine is written. How to create a mex file from this file and how to run the created mex file in matlab? I have matlab R2018b version and MinGW-w64 compiler installed.
