error setting parallel option for plsregress

I am trying to run the function plsregress to run in parallel.
The MATLAB documentation states that "paroptions = statset('UseParallel','always')" should be set.
Then paroptions called into plsregress:
[~,~,~,~,~,~,PLSmsep] = plsregress(X,y,30 ,'CV',10,'mcreps',1000,paroptions);
However, I get a "wrong number of arguments" error from plsregress at line 151. Any suggestions?

To use a nontrivial options structure you need to use the parameter value pair 'Options', nameOfStruct. In your case, the call to PLSREGRESS should look like this:
[~,~,~,~,~,~,PLSmsep] = plsregress(X,y,30 ,'CV',10,'MCReps',1000,'Options',paroptions);
