I understand that you are experiencing an error during the installation of MATLAB version R2017a Update 4. To resolve this issue, I recommend creating the following two folders manually and then retrying the installation procedure.

C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017a\appdata\components  
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017a\appdata\products
