I would like to study the problems related to connecting wind farms to power grids with different short-circuit ratios. May I ask which modules should be used to build equivalent power grids with different short-circuit ratios.

Hey,
I understand that you are trying to find modules that you can use to study the problems related to connecting wind farms to power grids with different short-circuit ratios.
The following modules and products can be used for this purpose:
  • You can use MATLAB’s mathematical capabilities to script simple calculations to assess the influence of various short-circuit ratios on power grid stability, fault response, and transient behaviour.
  • Leveraging Simulink's specialized power system blocks and libraries alongside MATLAB's analytical prowess, you can simulate and analyse the complex interactions between wind farms and diverse power grids.
  • Simscape Electricals' library includes components which can enable you to model and simulate renewable energy scenarios. This toolbox facilitates precise analysis of wind farm connections, including semiconductor modelling, electric drives, and smart grid functionalities. Its integration capabilities with mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal systems ensure a comprehensive approach to interconnected modelling.
